Convenors: Caroline Farmer and Fred Wright
The public debate in Australia is heating up between the ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ campaigns for the forthcoming referendum In Australia about whether to update the constitution to include an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament (‘The Voice’). How do we make sense of these complex issues and try to understand some of the dynamics at play under the surface of this pivotal point in our history as a society?
Listening Posts are based on the notion that a group of people meeting together to understand some of their preoccupations with society actually enables the unconscious expression of some of the characteristics of the wider social system. The experience of the Listening Post (LP) therefore is an activity that supports the understanding of society beyond individual and personal preoccupations.
