Aug 24 & Aug 31 Seminar/Discussions via Zoom
Sept 20 Reflective group Via Zoom.
We all spend a significant proportion of our working and social lives in groups. Over millions of years of evolution as social animals, we have developed a high level of skills in interaction and cooperation. These skills are largely pre-verbal and intuitive since we developed language no more than 200,000 years ago. It is tremendously advantageous to our work in groups if we are able to bring our preverbal, intuitive and unconscious thoughts into conscious awareness. We can develop the ability to shift our attention between the group process and the group task to enhance our performance as both members and leaders.
This is a series of seminars/workshops designed to enhance our capacity to think about our groups while we are engaged in the group task. The workshops will introduce some key concepts of Wilfred Bion and Sigmund Foulkes and seek to apply them.
