2nd Socioanalysis Writers Festival – ‘Inspired for Writing?!’

May 2 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$15 – $35

Bringing writers and readers together to be inspired by new ideas, to learn from writers’ and editors’ experiences.

HYBRID EVENT – online and in person!

Following on from our successful inaugural Festival in 2024, we are once again bringing writers and readers together to be inspired by new ideas, to learn from writers’ and editors’ experiences, and especially to celebrate the authors who have contributed richly to the field of Socioanalysis.

Come along to hear from recently published authors in conversation with a peer on the topic of their paper and the ‘art of writing’. It is an informal atmosphere, friendly and appreciative of the author’s work.

Festival Program:
Friday, 2 May 2025
5:30 – 8:30pm AEST (Eastern Australian time)

3 authors in conversation with:
Alexandra Garita ‘Organizational challenges in transnational feminist movement-building: systems psychodynamics perspectives’ in conversation with Prof. John Newton

Dr Allan Shafer ‘Colonial Domination and the Struggle for Identity’ (first published 1999 and then revisited in 2019 issue of Socioanalysis) in conversation with Helen McKelvie
